# JD.com: All takeout orders that exceed 20 minutes will be free

> JD.com announced that starting today, all takeaway orders that are more than 20 minutes late will be completely free. In addition, JD.com has launched emergency assistance measures to address the "choose one of two" issue faced by delivery riders, including increasing the recruitment of full-time riders, with the recruitment quota set to rise from 50,000 to 100,000 over the next three months, and ensuring that the income of riders banned by other platforms does not decrease. JD.com will also prioritize job placements for riders' family members to increase household income

JD-SW (09618.HK) (JD.US) issued an open letter to all delivery riders, stating that starting today, all delivery orders that are more than 20 minutes late will be free of charge.

JD.com also announced that in response to the platform's coercion of delivery riders to choose between two options and the inability to accept JD platform's instant delivery orders, it is launching several emergency assistance measures to support riders' freedom to accept orders and ensure their income. This includes increasing the recruitment of full-time riders, raising the recruitment quota from 50,000 to 100,000 over the next three months. For riders who have been blocked by other platforms due to the "two-choice" policy, JD.com will provide sufficient order volume to ensure their income does not decrease. If riders have partners, JD.com can prioritize arranging jobs for their partners, such as full-time couriers and full-time cleaners, achieving "dual-income" benefits and significantly increasing household income
