# Lalamove: Plans to expand its business to the Middle East this year, with the Philippine market already reaching breakeven

Lalamove's Chief Operating Officer, Lu Jiapei, stated that the company has entered 13 markets to date and will evaluate factors such as the local economic environment, mobile penetration rate, and industry diversity when considering the expansion into new markets. This year, they are planning to expand into regions such as the UAE and Saudi Arabia, while also assessing opportunities to enter the European market.

Lu Jiapei emphasized that Lalamove will not set rigid targets for entering new markets within a year and revealed that markets that have currently reached breakeven include the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand, while markets that have not yet turned a profit include Bangladesh and Mexico
