# "Commodity" focuses on the Federal Reserve meeting, gold prices rise nearly 2%

> Due to the investment boom in gold in China and the potential impact of the U.S. imposing tariffs on imported drugs, gold prices rose ahead of the Federal Reserve meeting. Spot gold increased by 1.8% to $3,394.4 per ounce, reaching a two-week high. June futures for gold rose by 2.7% to $3,412.7 per ounce, while prices for July futures of silver, copper, platinum, and palladium also saw increases

Driven by China's recent gold investment boom and the potential for the U.S. to impose tariffs on imported pharmaceuticals, investors are awaiting the outcome of the Federal Reserve's policy meeting, with gold prices rising to a two-week high on Tuesday.

Spot gold rose 1.8% to $3,394.4 per ounce, marking the highest level since April 22. June gold futures increased by $90.4 or 2.7% to $3,412.7 per ounce.

July silver prices rose 2.6% to $33.3 per ounce.

July copper prices rose 1.9% to $4.79 per pound.

July platinum prices rose 3.2% to $991.3 per ounce.

June palladium prices rose 4% to $980.5 per ounce
