# KakaoBank's Q1 Net Income Jumps 24%

KakaoBank posted first-quarter net income of 137.4 billion won, up 24% from 111.2 billion won a year earlier, the South Korean financial institution said in a Wednesday regulatory filing with Korea Exchange.

The company's sales rose 9.3% year over year to 784.6 billion won from 717.9 billion won.

Shares of KakaoBank jumped more than 5% at market close on Wednesday.
