# Understanding the Market | Trip.com-S rose nearly 3% during the session after signing a memorandum of understanding with Visit Oman, with broad prospects for the company's overseas market development

According to Zhitong Finance APP, Trip.com Group-S (09961) rose nearly 3% during the trading session, and as of the time of writing, it is up 1.95%, priced at HKD 491.8, with a transaction volume of HKD 415 million.

In terms of news, recently, Trip.com Group announced that it has officially signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Visit Oman at the 2025 Arabian Travel Market (ATM 2025). The two parties will conduct in-depth cooperation in areas such as tourism innovation, destination promotion, and technology integration. Visit Oman will become the official tourism ambassador for the Sultanate of Oman on Trip.com Group's global platform.

China Galaxy Securities released a research report stating that according to the National Immigration Administration's forecast, the average daily inbound and outbound personnel at national ports during this year's "May Day" holiday is expected to reach 2.15 million, an increase of 27% compared to the same period last year. Among them, benefiting from the visa-free entry and the "buy and refund" policy for outbound travelers' shopping tax refunds, Trip.com data shows that inbound travel orders during this year's May Day holiday increased by 173% year-on-year. China Merchants Securities pointed out that since the first quarter of 2025, Trip.com's domestic and outbound businesses have maintained steady growth, and it is expected that annual revenue growth will reach 14%-15%. Although profit margins may be slightly adjusted downward in the short term due to increased investment in overseas business and a higher proportion of lower-margin trip.com, in the long term, Trip.com still has broad development prospects in overseas markets
