# The recycling rate of household waste in Beijing has reached 42%

According to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Management, in the five years since the implementation of the new "Beijing Municipal Solid Waste Management Regulations," the city's solid waste recycling rate has reached 42%, achieving the "14th Five-Year Plan" target ahead of schedule; the capacity for waste resource treatment, primarily through incineration and biochemical processing, has increased from 24,780 tons/day to 31,145 tons/day, achieving zero landfill of original waste one year ahead of schedule
