# The Nasdaq Biotechnology Index closed down nearly 2%, with a cumulative decline of over 8.4% this week

> The Nasdaq Biotechnology Index fell nearly 2% on Friday, with a cumulative decline of over 8.4% for the week. Among the constituent stocks, Iovance Biotherapeutics plummeted 44.80%, Savara fell 11.49%, Esperion dropped 10.60%, Lexeo Therapeutics decreased by 10.33%, and Novavax fell 10.29%. In contrast, Alector rose 13.46%, Corvus Pharmaceuticals increased by 32.24%, and Phathom Pharma surged 37.12%

On Friday, constituent stock Iovance Biotherapeutics fell by 44.80%, Savara dropped by 11.49%, Esperion decreased by 10.60%, Lexeo Therapeutics fell by 10.33%, and Novavax dropped by 10.29%; Alector, on the other hand, rose by 13.46% to rank third, Corvus Pharmaceuticals increased by 32.24%, and Phathom Pharma rose by 37.12%
