# MSCI China Index adjustment announced! New additions include VeriSilicon and 6 other constituent stocks

According to Zhitong Finance APP, on May 14, the international index provider MSCI announced the results of its index quarterly adjustment for May 2025, which will take effect after the market closes on May 30, 2024. In this adjustment, the MSCI China Index added six stocks: VeriSilicon (688521.SH), Baillie Gifford (688506.SH), APT (688617.SH), Light Media (300251.SZ), Haisco (002653.SZ), among others.

In addition, the MSCI China Index also removed 17 stocks, including Hisense Home Appliances (000921.SZ), FAW Jiefang (000800.SZ), Shanghai Pharmaceuticals (02607), and Jincheng Tongda & Culture Investment (603979.SH).

Since the MSCI China Index is nested within the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, stocks entering the MSCI China Index also mean entry into the MSCI Global Standard Index series, thereby gaining passive fund tracking.
