# Closing Review: The ChiNext Index adjusted with reduced volume, falling nearly 2%, while the beauty and personal care sector surged against the trend

The three major A-share indices collectively fell today. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.68%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.62%, the ChiNext Index decreased by 1.91%, and the Northbound 50 Index declined 0.38%. The total market turnover was 1.1904 trillion yuan, a decrease of 159.5 billion yuan compared to the previous day. Over 3,800 stocks in the entire market declined. In terms of sectors, beauty and personal care, synthetic biology, food and beverage, and textile manufacturing sectors saw the largest gains; while Huawei Ascend, cross-border payment, cloud computing, and liquid-cooled server concept stocks experienced the largest declines. On the market, the beauty and personal care sector strengthened against the trend today, with Bawei Co., Ltd. hitting the daily limit up of 30%, and Qing Song Co., Hyea Aromas, and Jieya Co. hitting the daily limit up of 20%. The food and beverage sector was active in the afternoon, with Xiwang Foodstuffs hitting the daily limit up. The textile manufacturing sector also performed actively, with Yingfeng Co. achieving five consecutive limit ups. Computing power and liquid-cooled server concept stocks collectively adjusted today, with Kehua Data nearing the daily limit down, and Hongjing Technology, Aofei Data, and Li'ang Technology experiencing significant declines
