# Foreign companies have filed a 337 investigation application regarding specific ink cartridges and their components

> On May 13, 2025, EPSON PORTLAND INC., EPSON AMERICA, INC., and SEIKO EPSON CORPORATION filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, accusing certain ink cartridges and their components of infringing their patent rights, involving a total of 20 companies from China and the United States, requesting the initiation of a Section 337 investigation and the issuance of exclusion and cease-and-desist orders

On May 13, 2025, EPSON PORTLAND INC., EPSON AMERICA, INC., and SEIKO EPSON CORPORATION filed two applications with the U.S. International Trade Commission under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, accusing specific ink cartridges and their components exported to, imported into, or sold in the U.S. of infringing their patent rights, requesting the initiation of a 337 investigation and the issuance of a general exclusion order or a limited exclusion order and a cease-and-desist order.
