# Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Accelerate the promotion of 5G-A, 6G technology research and development, industrial cultivation, and application development

> Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated in Nanchang, Jiangxi, that efforts will be accelerated to promote the research and development, industrial cultivation, and application development of 5G-A and 6G technologies to support the construction of a modern industrial system. At the same time, he emphasized the need to meet the development needs of enterprises, improve basic systems such as market access, fair competition, and credit management, promote the collaboration of the industrial chain, and the integrated development of large, medium, and small enterprises, and cultivate new quality productivity

The 2025 World Telecommunication and Information Society Day and the 160th anniversary of the International Telecommunication Union were held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Chairman of the China Communications Society, stated that efforts should be accelerated to promote the research and development of 5G-A and 6G technologies, cultivate industries, and develop applications, empowering the construction of a modern industrial system; more attention should be paid to meeting the development needs of enterprises, improving basic systems such as market access, fair competition, and credit management, promoting coordinated development of the industrial chain, and facilitating the integration of large, medium, and small enterprises, while cultivating and expanding new productive forces
