# Nio App shows 2-4 weeks delivery wait for facelifted ES6, EC6

> Nio has launched facelifted versions of its ES6 and EC6 SUVs, with delivery wait times of 2-4 weeks. Deutsche Bank forecasts flat month-on-month deliveries for May, estimating total deliveries of 75,000 to 80,000 vehicles in Q2 2025. The updated models maintain their prices despite the removal of financing options, which may increase retail prices. Nio's profitability is expected to improve due to enhanced vehicle margins from the new models. The company sold 5,100 and 6,000 units in the first two weeks of May, projecting around 24,000 units for the month.

The delivery wait times for Nio's (NYSE: NIO) facelifted ES6 SUV (sport utility vehicle) and EC6 coupe SUV are both 2-4 weeks after locking in orders, CnEVPost's daily monitoring of the Nio App shows.

The two updated SUVs were officially launched on May 16 and deliveries are set to begin on Tuesday, May 20.

Nio App stopped showing delivery wait times for most of its models on March 5, as it prepares to roll out facelifts to its main sellers.

The electric vehicle (EV) maker seems to have learned some lessons from its previous experience and has produced some vehicles ahead of schedule for quick deliveries.

Nio has four-figure numbers of existing vehicles for the updated ES6 and EC6, the company's head of user operations, Yang Bo, said on May 16, according to a screenshot of a chat shared by multiple auto bloggers on Weibo.

Apart from the updated ES6 and EC6, Nio will also launch the updated ET5 sedan, ET5 Touring wagon on May 25 -- they have already started accepting pre-orders on May 10. The Nio App doesn't currently show the delivery wait times for these two models.

The current delivery wait time for Nio ET7 sedan is 2-3 weeks, EC7 is 4-5 weeks, ET9 is 5-6 weeks, ES8 and ES7 delivery wait times are also not shown.

The updated ES6 and EC6 are still only available in one variant each, with the prices unchanged. Including the standard range battery pack, they start at RMB 338,000 ($46,850) and RMB 358,000 respectively.

As Nio maintains the price tags of the facelifted models, retail prices will rise given the removal of the five-year, zero-interest auto financing and the local government subsidy of RMB 6,000 per vehicle, Deutsche Bank analyst Wang Bin said in a research note today.

"We think that Nio has largely maintained the value proposition for the face-lifted ES6 / EC6 SUVs, considering the above-mentioned autonomous driving capability upgrades," the analyst wrote.

Thanks to the launch of the facelifted ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5 Touring, Nio guided May deliveries to be flat month-on-month, according to Deutsche Bank.

In the first two weeks of May, Nio Inc sold 5,100 units and 6,000 units, which implies that full-month deliveries in May will be around 24,000 units, according to the note.

Nio Inc delivered 23,900 vehicles in April, its second highest ever behind the 31,138 units delivered last December.

Deutsche Bank expects Nio's deliveries to total 75,000 to 80,000 units in the second quarter of 2025, a record high for quarterly deliveries.

The bank also expects Nio's profitability to grow sequentially in the second quarter, as the revamped model boosts Nio's overall vehicle margin by removing the five-year interest-free auto finance program.

Nio launches updated ES6, EC6 with unchanged prices and upgraded features

The updated ES6 and EC6 come with many feature upgrades and a switch to Nio's in-house developed Shenji smart driving chip.
