# The three major indices of A-shares in Shanghai and Shenzhen showed a sluggish performance in the first half of the day, with food and other consumer stocks continuing to rise, while BYD fell by 1.6%

The People's Bank of China today (28th) conducted a 215.5 billion yuan (same below) seven-day reverse repurchase operation in the open market, with the operation rate remaining at 1.4%. Additionally, 157 billion yuan of reverse repos are maturing, resulting in a net injection of 58.5 billion yuan for the day. The central parity rate of the yuan against the US dollar is reported at 7.1894, down 18 points.

The three major A-share indices showed a lackluster performance in the morning session. The Shanghai Composite Index rose 2 points or 0.07% to close at 3,342 points, with a turnover of 250.3 billion yuan; the Shenzhen Component Index fell 3 points or 0.04% to close at 10,025 points, with a turnover of 402.05 billion yuan; the ChiNext Index rose less than 1 point to close at 1,992 points, with a turnover of 176.9 billion yuan.

Banking stocks such as China Construction Bank (601939.SH) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (601398.SH) fell by 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively. In addition, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (300750.SZ) rose steadily by 0.2%. BYD Company Limited (002594.SZ) continued to decline, dropping another 1.6% in the morning session.

Various e-commerce platforms have launched the "618" promotional campaign, and consumer stocks such as food continue to rise, with Juneyao Grand Healthy Drinks (605388.SH) hitting the daily limit again. Quan Yang Quan (600189.SH) and Pinwo Food (300892.SZ) rose by 1% and 2.3%, respectively
