# Yao Cai Securities Finance: SOMERLEY CAP appointed as independent financial advisor

According to the announcement from Yaocai Securities (01428), Somerley Capital Limited, a licensed corporation that can conduct regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance for Type 1 (dealing in securities) and Type 6 (advising on corporate finance), has been appointed as an independent financial advisor to provide advice to the independent board committee regarding the offer (specifically whether the offer is fair and reasonable and whether it should be accepted). The independent board committee has approved the appointment of Somerley Capital Limited as the independent financial advisor in accordance with Rule 2.1 of the Takeovers Code
