The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index initially closed down 0.6%.  
Popular Chinese concept stocks Pony AI initially closed down 14.2%, Pinduoduo fell 4.9%, JD.com, Xiaomi, Alibaba, and Tencent all fell over 2%, while XPeng, New Oriental, and Yum China rose by up to 1%
