# BioKangtai: Adsorbed acellular DTP (component) combined vaccine initiates Phase III clinical trial

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, BioKangtai (300601.SZ) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., has completed the preparation work for the Phase III clinical trial of the acellular pertussis-diphtheria-tetanus (aPDT) combined vaccine and has initiated the Phase III clinical trial, successfully enrolling the first subject today.

It is reported that the acellular pertussis-diphtheria-tetanus (aPDT) combined vaccine is suitable for infants aged 2 months and older. After vaccination, it can induce an immune response to prevent whooping cough, diphtheria, and tetanus. The pertussis antigen in this vaccine can be accurately quantified to ensure batch-to-batch consistency of the effective components.

According to the National Medical Products Administration website, there are currently no approved products for the acellular pertussis-diphtheria-tetanus (aPDT) combined vaccine from domestic manufacturers
