# U.S. Stock Movement | Spot gold falls 1%, gold and silver mining stocks generally weaken

The U.S. dollar index narrowed its increase to 0.4%, approaching 99.10. The dollar against the yen maintained an increase of over 0.9%, stabilizing near the daily high of 144.98
