# NCPC's subsidiary has received the approval notice for the marketing application of Sulfate Polymyxin B chemical raw materials

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, North China Pharmaceutical (600812.SH) announced that its holding subsidiary, North China Pharmaceutical Huasheng Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huasheng Company"), has received the "Approval Notice for the Market Application of Chemical Raw Materials for Sulfate Polymyxin B" issued by the National Medical Products Administration.

Sulfate Polymyxin B is used to treat acute infections caused by sensitive strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and is the first-choice drug for treating urinary tract, meningitis, and bloodstream infections caused by sensitive strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. When drugs with lower potential toxicity are ineffective or contraindicated, this product can be used for severe infections caused by sensitive strains of the following microorganisms: Haemophilus influenzae, especially meningitis; Escherichia coli, particularly urinary tract infections; Proteus, especially bacteremia; Klebsiella pneumoniae, particularly bacteremia
