# AEC GROUP issues a profit warning, expecting an annual loss attributable to shareholders of approximately HKD 9.6 million

According to the announcement from Dolphin Research, AEC GROUP (08320) expects to incur a loss attributable to shareholders of approximately HKD 9.6 million for the year ending March 31, 2025, while for the year ending March 31, 2024, it expects to achieve a profit attributable to shareholders of approximately HKD 600,000.

The shift from profit to loss is mainly due to a decline in revenue and gross profit margin; increased employee costs to retain talent; an increase in impairment provisions for other receivables; and development expenses for overseas business expansion. The decline in revenue and gross profit margin is primarily due to a decrease in average charges for new contracts awarded this year and project delays caused by the current market atmosphere
