# Sito Bio: Dexamethasone raw material has obtained the European CEP certificate

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Sito Bio (300583.SZ) announced that its controlling subsidiary Shandong Sray Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Sray Pharmaceutical") recently received the Certificate of Suitability for European Pharmacopoeia (referred to as "CEP Certificate") issued by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM). The chemical raw material name is DEXAMETHASONE.

Dexamethasone raw material can be used to produce dexamethasone-related dosage forms. Dexamethasone is a synthetic long-acting corticosteroid with powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-shock, and immunosuppressive effects. It is commonly used clinically to treat autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, allergic diseases (such as severe bronchial asthma and dermatitis), as well as for adjuvant treatment of certain acute infectious diseases (to be used in conjunction with antibacterial drugs). It can also be used to prevent vomiting caused by chemotherapy drugs
