The G7, priced at RMB 235,800 ($32,810), features advanced technology including up to three in-house developed Turing AI chips, achieving L3 computing power. This launch coincides with Xiaomi's announcement of its YU7 SUV, scheduled for June 26, indicating a competitive landscape in China's EV market. Phate Zhang • Jun 23, 2025 at 10:35 AM UTC > - Xpeng announced it will launch the G7 next week, following Xiaomi's announcement earlier today that the YU7 SUV will hit the market on June 26. > - Xpeng debuted the G7 and began pre-sales on June 11, receiving over 10,000 pre-orders within the first 46 minutes. Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) will launch the G7 next week, following the start of pre-sales for the SUV (sport utility vehicle) earlier this month. The electric vehicle (EV) maker announced the information on Weibo today without specifying an exact date. Earlier today, Xiaomi (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY) announced that its first SUV model, the YU7, will officially launch on June 26. Xpeng's timing for the G7 launch appears deliberate, as the SU7 is set to be one of the most significant models in China's EV market this year, given Xiaomi's influence. Xpeng debuted the G7 on June 11 and began its pre-sales, with a pre-sales price of RMB 235,800 ($32,810), between the G6 SUV and Xpeng's flagship SUV, the G9. The starting price of the Xpeng SUV may be influenced by the YU7 -- whose price has not yet been announced -- but it should not exceed the pre-sales price. The G7 received over 10,000 pre-orders within the first 46 minutes, Xpeng announced shortly after the G7's debut event. The G7 is a mid-size SUV with dimensions of 4,892 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,890 mm. In comparison, the YU7 is a mid-to-large-size SUV with dimensions of 4,999 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The G7 offers Max and Ultra variants, both built on an 800-volt high-voltage architecture. They come standard with a battery pack supporting 5C fast charging, both offering a CLTC range of 702 kilometers. The main difference between the two variants is that the Max variant uses two Nvidia Orin X smart driving chips, while the Ultra variant uses three Xpeng-developed Turing AI chips. The G7 is the first model to use the Turing AI chip, with Xpeng claiming that a single chip has the computing power equivalent to three mainstream smart driving chips. The G7 Ultra has an effective computing power exceeding 2,200 TOPS, making it the world's first AI car to achieve L3 computing power, according to Xpeng. ($1 = RMB 7.1878) Xpeng debuts G7 SUV and begins its pre-sales, featuring up to 3 in-house self-driving chips The G7 is equipped with up to three Turing AI chips developed in-house by Xpeng, with computing power exceeding 2,200 TOPS. ### Related Stocks - [XPEV.US - XPeng](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/XPEV.US.md) - [09868.HK - XPENG-W](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/09868.HK.md) ## Related News & Research | Title | Description | URL | |-------|-------------|-----| | Xpeng secures L3 autonomous driving road test permits in Guangzhou | Xpeng has secured L3 autonomous driving road test permits in Guangzhou, marking a significant regulatory update in China | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/269821815.md) | | XPEV Earnings: XPeng Stock Falls Despite Narrower Q3 Loss and Solid Margins.
