# "U.S. Stocks" Iran retaliates against U.S. attack, oil prices drop 8%, Dow Jones closes up 374 points

> The U.S. intervention in the conflict between Israel and Iran led to a drop in oil prices of more than 8%. U.S. stocks were volatile on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 374 points to close at 42,581 points; the S&P 500 index rising 57 points to close at 6,025 points; and the Nasdaq index rising 183 points to close at 19,630 points. Tesla's stock price rose 8.2% due to the launch of its Robotaxi service. Novo Nordisk's stock fell 34% after the termination of its partnership with Hims & Hers

The United States intervened in Israel's war against Iran over the weekend, with President Trump posting on Truth Social urging everyone to keep oil prices low. However, Iran's attack on the U.S. military base in Qatar on Monday did not result in casualties, causing oil prices to drop over 8%. U.S. stocks were volatile on Monday, briefly turning negative before rallying to close higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 374 points or 0.9%, at 42,581 points; the S&P 500 index rose 57 points or 1%, closing at 6,025 points; and the Nasdaq increased by 183 points or 0.9%, closing at 19,630 points.

Tesla (TSLA.US) launched its autonomous taxi service Robotaxi in Texas, with its stock price rising by 8.2%.

Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk (NVO.US) accused the U.S. telemedicine platform Hims & Hers (HIMS.US) of selling and promoting counterfeit weight loss drug Wegovy, deciding to terminate their partnership. Hims & Hers' stock price plummeted by 34%, while Novo Nordisk fell by 5.5%. (me/)
