According to the Zhitong Finance APP, HAINAN RUBBER GROUP (601118.SH) announced that Typhoon "Butterfly" (strong tropical storm level) made landfall recently in Baosuo Town, Dongfang City, Hainan Province, with a maximum wind force of level 11 (30 meters/second) near the center at the time of landfall. Before the arrival of this typhoon, the company had activated its typhoon emergency response plan and fully deployed flood and wind prevention measures. Affected by the strong winds and heavy rain brought by the typhoon, some subsidiaries in Hainan Province suffered varying degrees of damage to biological assets such as rubber and supporting production facilities, with no casualties reported. Preliminary statistics indicate that the company suffered damage to approximately 350,000 biological assets (including rubber trees that are ready for tapping and small seedlings), and it is estimated that the annual dry rubber production will decrease by about 2,600 tons. After the typhoon passed, the company quickly organized personnel to conduct safety hazard inspections and post-disaster recovery work, clearing roads in the rubber plantations and straightening and reinforcing fallen rubber trees to restore production and operational order as soon as possible, striving to minimize the losses caused by the disaster. Currently, all affected subsidiary bases have resumed production and operations.

The company is the world's largest natural rubber planting, processing, and trading enterprise, with subsidiaries and business operations distributed across many regions domestically and internationally. The losses caused by this typhoon mainly pertain to the biological asset losses of its subsidiaries, with the annual revenue from the rubber planting subsidiaries in Hainan Province accounting for less than 4% of the company's total revenue.
