# Germany demands Apple and Google to remove the DeepSeek app, and China has made its position clear multiple times

> Germany's data protection commissioner, Meck Kamp, has requested Apple and Google to remove the app of the Chinese startup DeepSeek, citing data security concerns. The Chinese side expressed opposition, arguing that some countries are generalizing and politicizing national security issues in economic, trade, and technology matters. Kamp accused DeepSeek of illegally transmitting user data to China and urged Apple and Google to promptly review and decide whether to ban the app. Google has confirmed receipt of the notification and is currently assessing it, while Apple has not yet responded

According to a report by Reuters, German Data Protection Commissioner Meike Kamp claimed in a statement on the 27th that she has requested Apple and Google to remove the AI large language model application "DeepSeek," developed independently by a Chinese startup, from their app stores in Germany, citing so-called data security concerns. China has previously expressed its opposition to the practice of some countries generalizing the concept of national security and politicizing economic and technological issues. (Global Network)
