# "Commodity" U.S. April crude oil production hits record high

> According to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), U.S. crude oil production reached a record daily output of 13.47 million barrels in April, surpassing March's 13.45 million barrels. The total supply increased by 263,000 barrels month-on-month, reaching 20.21 million barrels per day. The data shows that crude oil production in Texas, the largest oil-producing state, increased by 1.8% to 5.77 million barrels per day, the highest level since November. Meanwhile, crude oil production in New Mexico, the second-largest oil-producing state, decreased by 3.4% month-on-month to 2.19 million barrels

The data shows that crude oil production in Texas, the largest oil-producing state, increased by 1.8% to 5.77 million barrels per day, the highest level since November. Meanwhile, crude oil production in New Mexico, the second-largest oil-producing state, decreased by 3.4% month-on-month to 2.19 million barrels
