# US Natural Gas Storage Rises More than Expected

US utilities added 55 billion cubic feet (bcf) of natural gas into storage for the week ending June 27, bringing total inventories to 2.953 trillion cubic feet (tcf).

The build exceeded market expectations of 53 bcf and compares with an increase of 35 bcf in the same week last year and a five-year average (2020–2024) of 61 bcf.

This marked the 11th consecutive week of bigger-than-usual net injections into storage by energy firms.
