# The Federal Aviation Administration: The fuel switch lock on Boeing aircraft is safe

> According to CCTV News reports, informed sources stated that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Boeing have privately issued a notice indicating that the fuel switch lock on Boeing aircraft is safe. The notice stated that although the design of the fuel control switch is quite similar across various Boeing aircraft models, the FAA does not consider this issue to be an unsafe condition and has not issued airworthiness directives for any Boeing aircraft models, including the 787 model
