# SCIYON: Wholly-owned subsidiary receives civil lawsuit

SCIYON announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Smart Energy Investment Company, recently received a legal document titled "Civil Complaint" delivered by the People's Court of Xuanwu District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. From July 8, 2020, to July 21, 2021, Smart Energy Investment Company successively deposited fixed-term deposits at the Nantong Branch of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. The plaintiff, Nantong Branch of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, believes that the defendants, Yisheng and Smart Energy Investment Company, were at fault during the handling of related business, causing damage to the plaintiff's civil rights and should bear tort liability. At the same time, both defendants should bear joint liability for the plaintiff's losses. Accordingly, the plaintiff filed a lawsuit with the People's Court of Xuanwu District, Nanjing City, requesting the court to rule in favor of the plaintiff's various litigation requests
