# SKMIC's subsidiary signed two "Ship Design and Construction Contracts"

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, SKMIC (600097.SH) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Shanghai Kaichuang Ocean Fishing Co., Ltd. has signed two "Ship Design and Construction Contracts" with Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The construction price for this shipbuilding is 184 million yuan per ship.

The construction of two tuna purse seiners will replace the Jin Hui No. 7, which was dismantled in 2020, and the Jin Hui No. 6, which is still in service but in poor overall condition, enhancing the safety performance and fishing technology of production fishing vessels, which is beneficial for improving the fishing capacity of the tuna purse seiner fleet and enhancing overall profitability
