# Jincheng Pharm: Subsidiary "Progesterone Cream" has obtained import approval for pharmaceuticals in South Korea

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Jincheng Pharm (300233.SZ) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Beijing Jincheng Tail Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. ("Jincheng Tail") recently received an import license for Progestin Cream issued by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of South Korea ("Korea MFDS").

It is reported that Progestin is currently the only marketed strictly local acting estrogen, used for atrophic lesions of the vulva, vestibule, and vaginal ring, as well as the following subjective symptoms caused by it: discomfort, vulvar itching, burning, and dryness. These diseases are caused by the decrease in estrogen and other sex hormone levels in women during the perimenopausal and postmenopausal periods, collectively referred to as Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause ("GSM"). Relevant guidelines at home and abroad recommend the local use of estrogen as the first-line treatment for GSM, and Progestin Cream is one of the products in this regimen. As a strictly local acting estrogen, this product does not stimulate endometrial hyperplasia and does not increase the potential risk of blood estrogen levels. According to IMS data, the global sales of Progestin formulations from 2022 to 2024 are projected to be USD 78.0961 million, USD 94.3352 million, and USD 103.8559 million, respectively
