# Lifeon Pharmaceutical: Mesalazine enteric-coated tablets complete drug registration

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Lifeon Pharmaceutical (003020.SZ) announced that it has received the Drug Registration Certificate for Mesalazine Enteric-Coated Tablets issued by the National Medical Products Administration. Mesalazine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that can inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins that cause inflammation and the formation of inflammatory mediators such as leukotrienes, thereby significantly suppressing inflammation of the intestinal mucosa. Mesalazine Enteric-Coated Tablets release mesalazine in the intestine after oral administration and are suitable for the treatment of acute attacks of ulcerative colitis and maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence, as well as for the treatment of acute attacks of Crohn's disease.
