# The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.5% in the first half of the day, climbing back above 3,600 points, with brokerage stocks gaining

The People's Bank of China today (5th) conducted a seven-day reverse repurchase operation of 160.7 billion yuan (same below) in the open market, with the operation rate remaining at 1.4%. Today, 449.2 billion yuan of reverse repos matured, resulting in a net withdrawal of 288.5 billion yuan. The central parity rate of the yuan against the US dollar was raised by 29 points to 7.1366, the highest since November 6 of last year.

China's July S&P Global Services PMI rose to 52.6, while the Composite PMI fell to 50.8.

The three major A-share indices fluctuated individually. The SSE Index closed at 3,602 points at midday, up 18 points or 0.5%, with a turnover of 411.7 billion yuan; the Shenzhen Component Index closed at 11,056 points at midday, up 15 points or 0.1%, with a turnover of 594 billion yuan; the ChiNext Index closed at 2,328 points at midday, down 5 points or 0.3%, with a turnover of 306.4 billion yuan.

Banking stocks rose, with China Construction Bank (601939.SH) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (601398.SH) up 0.7% and 0.4%, respectively. In addition, CATL (300750.SZ) closed flat. BYD (002594.SZ) fell 0.3%.

Brokerage stocks rose, with Cinda Securities (601059.SH), Hongta Securities (601236.SH), and DFZQ (600958.SH) up 2% to 5.7%.

Robot concept stocks saw Dongjie Intelligent (300486.SZ) rise another 18%
