# NVIDIA emphasizes that GPUs have no backdoors or switches

NVIDIA (NVDA.US) emphasized on Tuesday that it clearly denies the existence of backdoors or switches in its graphics processing units (GPUs) and warned that such designs would pose significant risks to global digital infrastructure.

In a statement, NVIDIA stated that adding backdoors or switches in semiconductors would be a gift to hackers and hostile forces, as it would create more vulnerabilities, and added that it would undermine global digital infrastructure and damage trust in American technology.

NVIDIA stressed that the so-called "good" secret backdoors do not exist; only dangerous vulnerabilities that need to be eliminated. Product security must always be conducted in the right way, and adding switches to chips would be a permanent flaw beyond user control, leading to disaster
