# Yunnan Energy issued a profit warning, expecting a mid-term net loss of HKD 2.5 million to HKD 3 million

According to the announcement from Yunnan Energy (01298), the group expects a net loss of HKD 2.5 million to HKD 3 million for the six months ending June 30, 2025, compared to a net loss of HKD 300,000 for the six months ending June 30, 2024 (the previous period).

The announcement stated that the increase in net loss during this period is mainly due to a decrease in revenue and gross profit from the supply chain business, primarily due to a decline in demand for certain agricultural products (including Radix Notoginseng); and an increase in income tax for the supply chain business
