# Meituan reminds: Viral "sell-out" videos are mostly scripted

Meituan officially announced that similar short video accounts like "Bo Ge," "Su Xingyan," and "Lin Wanshang" have been found: they release multiple crying videos to attract viewers, and once a viral content appears, they use recap videos to direct traffic to private domains, monetizing through the sale of "short video learning courses." It is currently impossible to verify whether accounts like "Bo Ge," "Su Xingyan," and "Lin Wanshang" are operated by professional teams, but their filming techniques, narrative styles, and script contents are indeed highly similar, and the account operation model shows obvious patterned characteristics: fabricating various tragic stories - sharing personal experiences related to viral videos - converting profits through private domain course sales. "Being a delivery rider is an important way for many people to earn a stable income. However, some register accounts, complete a few orders, and then stage a sob story, riding on trending topics to convey anxiety, profiting from malicious marketing to gain traffic. For this kind of 'account operation routine,' the company will maintain a 'zero tolerance' policy and has currently secured evidence of the aforementioned accounts' violations and illegal activities, which have been submitted to the competent authorities for legal accountability," Meituan stated
