# CH BIOTECH SER expects a mid-term loss attributable to shareholders to decrease by approximately 59% year-on-year

According to the announcement from CH BIOTECH SER (08037), it is expected that the loss attributable to the company's owners for the mid-term period of 2025 will not exceed HKD 33 million, a decrease of approximately 59% compared to the loss of HKD 79.917 million attributable to the company's owners in the same period of 2024. The significant improvement in operational performance is mainly due to the successful implementation of cost control measures, leading to an increase in gross profit margin and a reduction in administrative expenses, as well as compensation income of approximately HKD 14 million received from insurance claims for damages caused by heavy rain at construction sites in Hainan in 2024
