Recently, eDiagnosis released a nucleic acid testing solution for Chikungunya virus and mosquito-borne pathogens. For Chikungunya fever, test results can be generated in as fast as 1 hour. "We use fluorescent PCR methods, with a sensitivity of 50-200 copies/mL. In other words, even if there are only a few viral particles in 1 mL of blood, they can be detected," said a relevant person in charge at eDiagnosis. This solution has already been implemented in disease control centers and hospitals in Hubei Province and the southwestern region of China
