# Beilu Pharma: Iodinated Methylpyrrolidone Chemical Raw Material Approved for Market Launch

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Beilu Pharma (300016.SZ) announced that its holding subsidiary Zhejiang Haichang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Haichang Pharmaceutical") has received the approval notice for the marketing application of Iopamidol issued by the National Medical Products Administration.

Iopamidol is the active pharmaceutical ingredient for the contrast agent Iopamidol injection. As a low-osmolar, non-ionic, water-soluble contrast agent, Iopamidol injection is widely used in CT enhancement imaging and angiography. Compared to traditional high-osmolar contrast agents, it places less burden on patients' kidneys and cardiovascular systems, making it particularly suitable for patients with renal insufficiency and those at high risk. Due to its excellent imaging effect and lower side effects, it has become one of the preferred contrast agents in clinical practice
