> The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 460 points, an increase of over 1%. Goldman Sachs led the way with a rise of over 3.6%, UnitedHealth increased by 3.3%, Boeing, Nike, Caterpillar, and American Express all rose by over 2.6%, while IBM fell by 1.1%. The VIX, or fear index, dropped by 8.5%, closing at 14.86; the S&P 500 index rose by over 0.8%

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 460 points, with an increase of more than 1%. Goldman Sachs led the gainers among the components with an increase of over 3.6%, UnitedHealth rose 3.3%, Boeing, Nike, Caterpillar, and American Express all increased by more than 2.6%, while IBM still fell by 1.1%. The VIX volatility index dropped by 8.5% during the day, closing at 14.86; the S&P 500 index rose by more than 0.8%
