# Global news you need to know before the U.S. stock market opens on Friday

U.S. retail sales in July increased by 0.5% month-on-month, with actual retail sales achieving growth for the tenth consecutive month.  
 China's retail sales growth rate in July slowed to 3.7% year-on-year, with total retail sales of automobiles declining year-on-year.  
 Japan's GDP annualized quarterly growth rate in the second quarter increased by 1%, exceeding market expectations.  
 UnitedHealth's U.S. stock pre-market rose over 12%, attracting Buffett, Renaissance, and Tepper to buy the dip together.  
 Intel's U.S. stock pre-market rose over 4%, as the Trump administration discussed implementing national ownership in Intel.
