# NEWAY GROUP issued a profit warning, expecting a loss reduction in the first half to approximately HKD 19 million to HKD 34 million

According to the announcement from NEWAY GROUP (00055), the group expects to incur a loss of approximately HKD 19 million to HKD 34 million for the six months ending June 30, 2025 (the first half of 2025), compared to a loss of approximately HKD 40.1 million for the six months ending June 30, 2024 (the first half of 2024).

The board believes that the loss incurred in the first half of 2025 is primarily due to a fair value loss of approximately HKD 4 million on investment properties (first half of 2024: fair value loss of approximately HKD 12.7 million); and classified losses from property development, property investment, and manufacturing and sales businesses in the first half of 2025
