# The three major A-share indices of Shanghai and Shenzhen opened higher by 0.1% to 0.3%, rare earth stocks retreated, and photovoltaic stocks showed mixed performance

The People's Bank of China today (21st) conducted a 253 billion yuan (same below) seven-day reverse repurchase operation in the open market, with the operation rate remaining at 1.4%. Today, 128.7 billion yuan of reverse repos matured, resulting in a net injection of 124.3 billion yuan. The central parity rate of the yuan against the US dollar was raised by 97 points to 7.1287.

The three major indices of A-shares opened higher. The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 3,770 points, up 4 points or 0.1%. The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 11,965 points, up 39 points or 0.3%. The ChiNext Index opened up 7 points or 0.3%, at 2,614 points.

Banking stocks such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (601398.SH) and China Construction Bank (601939.SH) both opened flat. In addition, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (300750.SZ) opened flat. BYD (002594.SZ) opened down 0.4%.

Rare earth stocks fell back, with JTGROUP (601609.SH) opening down 9.2%. Shenghe Resources (600392.SH) and Longi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (300835.SZ) opened down 0.9% and 0.8%, respectively.

Photovoltaic stocks showed mixed performance, with LONGi Green Energy (601012.SH) opening down 0.4%, and Aiko Solar (001269.SZ) and Invt (002334.SZ) each opening down 1.5%. Hengdian East Magnetic (002056.SZ) opened up 2.4%.

Hengrui Medicine (600276.SH) opened up 1.8%, with a net profit of 4.45 billion yuan in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 29.67%
