# Thermal power companies diversify their layout to seek development

According to data from Eastmoney Choice, as of August 22, when the reporter filed the report, 13 companies in the A-share thermal power sector (Eastmoney's third-level industry) have released their semi-annual reports for 2025. Among them, 6 companies achieved year-on-year growth in net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company, while another 3 companies reported a reduction in losses compared to the previous year. In addition, 9 companies have issued performance forecasts for the first half of 2025. To cope with the pressures brought by industry transformation and the rapid development of renewable energy, the thermal power industry is accelerating technological upgrades and diversified layouts.
