ZHIGUANG high-voltage shore power system assists Dalian Port in green upgrade
On August 23, the Dalian Port Dagang Port Area No. 2 Terminal—contracted by Guangzhou ZHIGUANG Electric Co., Ltd.—successfully completed its first power supply task for a cruise ship, marking the terminal's official capability to provide shore power for docked cruise ships. This also demonstrates ZHIGUANG Electric's strength in system integration and rapid delivery in the high-voltage frequency conversion shore power field. This project is an important initiative to implement the Ministry of Transport's "Action Plan for Demonstrating the Use of Shore Power by International Route Container Ships and Cruise Ships at Port." The system adopts high-voltage AC-DC-AC frequency conversion technology, with an output capacity of up to 16MVA, supporting dual voltage formats of 6.6kV/60Hz and 11kV/60Hz, capable of meeting the power needs of mainstream large cruise ships worldwide. This system can effectively replace ship auxiliary engine power generation, significantly reducing carbon emissions and noise pollution
