Ford will address this defect through dealers or wireless software updates. This recall affects approximately 1% of the F-150 fleet, reflecting Ford's challenges in quality control According to Zhitong Finance APP, Ford Motor (F.US) announced a large-scale recall plan in the U.S. market, involving 355,656 units of the 2025 to 2026 F-Series pickups (F-550 SD, F-450 SD, F-350 SD, F-250 SD) and the 2025 F-150 model, to address a software malfunction in the dashboard display. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the instrument panel cluster (IPC) of the affected vehicles may experience a blank screen upon startup, preventing safety-related indicator lights and instrument information from displaying properly, thereby increasing the risk of accidents. Ford stated that it will fix the defect through dealers or wireless software updates, and has not yet received any accident reports directly related to this issue. It is worth noting that earlier this month, Ford initiated another recall due to the risk of axle bolt fractures, involving more than 103,000 units of the 2023 to 2025 F-150 pickups. NHTSA investigations indicate that the problematic bolts may cause damage to the rear axle hub spline components, leading to vehicle skidding or loss of drive power, and in extreme cases, the vehicle may roll away if the handbrake is not engaged. Ford-authorized dealers will replace the problematic rear axle components free of charge and cover all repair costs during the warranty period. This recall affects approximately 1% of the F-150 fleet in the U.S., and owners can schedule inspection services through official channels. As one of the best-selling models in the U.S., the F-150 series has faced multiple rectification requests in recent years due to issues with the powertrain, braking system, and more. The combination of these two recall events highlights the challenges Ford faces in quality control ### Related Stocks - [F.US - Ford Motor](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/F.US.md) ## Related News & Research | Title | Description | URL | |-------|-------------|-----| | ANALYSIS-Ford’s EV retreat highlights industry dilemma: Build for the US or the world? | Ford is retreating from its electric vehicle (EV) strategy, taking a $19.5 billion writedown on EV-related assets.
