# Silver prices hit a nearly 14-year high, with varying "perceptions" among industry chain enterprises

On September 1st, international silver prices surged significantly, with COMEX silver prices rising to $41.64 per ounce during trading, and London spot silver prices climbing to $40.754 per ounce, reaching a nearly 14-year high. The main contract price of Shanghai silver also rose strongly, setting a new high since the contract was listed. With high silver prices, related listed companies such as SDR and Yuguang Gold&Lead saw their stock prices boosted. However, companies in the industrial chain have different "feelings"; the profits of smelting companies depend on factors such as processing fees and inventory costs, while companies with their own mines face less pressure.
