# In the first half of the year, FWD's new business annualized premium in Hong Kong and Macau increased by more than double year-on-year

FWD Group (01828.HK) announced its interim results for the six months ending June 30, 2025. In the Hong Kong and Macau markets, FWD's new business growth performance was outstanding, with several key business indicators recording double-digit or higher growth. The annualized premium of new business increased by more than double (103%) year-on-year, driven by strong onshore and offshore business; the value of new business grew by 91% year-on-year; and after-tax operating profit increased by 28% year-on-year.

Liu Zhijian, Executive Director of FWD Greater China and CEO of Hong Kong, stated that following last year's record-breaking performance in annualized premium of new business in Hong Kong, FWD's growth momentum in the Hong Kong and Macau markets was significant in the first half of the year, with all key business indicators showing strong growth. In the future, FWD will continue to explore market opportunities, filling protection gaps in the market through innovative products to create new insurance experiences for the public
