On September 5th, Mark Gurman published a blog post revealing that Apple is preparing to launch the second generation of the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset, which is expected to add a "space black" color option and upgrade to the M4 or M5 chip. Although there were initial hopes that it would undergo a comprehensive redesign and performance upgrade similar to the iPad's transition to the iPad 2, current indications suggest that its upgrade path is more akin to the gradual evolution from the Apple Watch Ultra to the Ultra 2
