# GEPIC: The 5th unit of the Changle Company 2×1000 MW coal-fired unit expansion project has officially commenced commercial operation

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Gansu Energy (000791.SZ) announced that the company received a report from its holding subsidiary Gansu Electric Power Investment Changle Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Changle Company") stating that the 5th unit of the 2×1000 MW coal-fired unit expansion project successfully passed the 168-hour full-load trial operation on September 6, 2025, and officially commenced commercial operation. The 5th unit is located on the north side of Changle Company in the Liugou Logistics Park, Guazhou County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, with a total installed capacity of 1000 MW, accounting for more than 10% of the company's installed capacity that has generated electricity by the end of 2024
