# Zhengzhou Foxconn's iPhone 17 production line in the Hong Kong region is nearing full capacity, with nearly 200,000 workers working in two shifts to meet the demand

Due to the widening labor gap, Foxconn has allowed temporary workers to choose whether to undergo health checks for the first time, and the reimbursement amount has also fluctuated, reaching as high as 9,800 yuan. The recruitment efficiency of temporary workers is directly influenced by the reimbursement price, especially during the new product launch season for Apple, where the number of temporary workers recruited has significantly increased

Currently, Foxconn's Zhengzhou Port area is in the ramp-up phase of mass production for the iPhone 17 series products. As the production scale gradually expands, the demand for labor in the factory continues to rise. In addition to returning workers, hourly workers are another type of temporary labor for Foxconn. On September 5th, a reporter entered Foxconn's Zhengzhou Port area as an hourly worker, where nearly 2,000 dispatched workers were waiting at the distribution site. In the production workshop, nearly 200,000 workers operate on a two-shift system, screwing, applying film, and assembling parts, while the conveyor belt continuously delivers the formed iPhone 17. The products then enter the packaging workshop, where they are placed into white boxes printed with the Apple logo. However, this number is not the peak. According to Li Yi's recollection, there were as many as 400,000 workers at the highest point
